GCI is a straightforward process; here's how it breaks down. Your employer purchases a voucher, entitling you to lease a bike of your choice directly from us. There is no voucher limit, but the amount must cover the cost of the bike. You then repay the cost of the voucher by sacrificing a part of your gross (before tax & NI) salary.
You save the tax and NI that you would pay if you bought the bike from your net (after tax) pay. Your employer also benefits from the scheme, as they save 13.8% employer's NI.
YT handles all end-of-scheme arrangements, so there is nothing for your employer to do but kick back and enjoy their tax savings. Find out how the hire period works on the GCI website.
Your employer must agree to your voucher request to hire a YT Industries bike through GCI. With Instant GCI, they needn't be signed up or have used the service before. Contact your HR department for more information. Self-employed customers are not eligible for the GCI scheme.
As there is no price cap, any YT bike can be acquired through GCI – even our electric and limited-edition UNCAGED models. This payment method is only eligible at full RRP and will remove any discount during checkout.
You must define the salary sacrifice agreement with your employer. This can be for any period longer than twelve months; common terms are 12, 18, and 24 months, but it can be set up for as long as 60 months. There is also a hire agreement between the employee and GCI Ltd., which is unaffected by the salary sacrifice agreement length.

Unlike some Cycle to Work schemes, GCI has no price cap, making it a fast and effective route to the bike of your dreams. GCI is also free from scheme exit fees.
YT strongly recommends that you insure your bike. If your bike is stolen or damaged, you are still required to repay your employer for the cost of the GCI voucher.
