Jordie Lunn

Jordie Lunn

On October 9, 2019 Jordie Lunn was riding cross-country trails in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with friends and suffered a fatal head injury following a simple crash. With Jordie we have lost a precious member of the YT Family, a good friend, we will always remember.
Jordie started Mountain Biking in cross-country racing, but switched to Downhill racing and became the fastest Canadian racer at the Canada Cup Series and highest ranked North American DH racer in the World Cup standings in 2003. Shifting his focus to free riding in films like Ride to the Hills, The Collective, ROAM, he was the first mountain biker to land a Cork 720 trick in 2007. Jordie started competing in The Fest Series, Rampage, Crankworx (winning the best trick in 2012) and self-producing his famous Rough AF video series. He also hosted numerous events in his home region on Vancouver Island to give young riders a first introduction to competitions and provide them with a jump-off point to successful careers.
With his positive, infectious enthusiasm for life he was an inspiration to a whole generation of freeriders and mountain bikers around the world.
We will remember Jordie as the loving friend and passionate biker he was. His colorful character will never be forgotten. Ride in peace, Jordie.
